EAT & DRINK IN BARCELONA
Borneta brings Mediterranean living to the table through seasonal cooking shaped by Spanish and Italian traditions, a considered approach to aperitivo culture and a rooftop setting made for open-air drinks and sweeping city views.

Volta Restaurant
Beneath the Porxos de Fontseré arches, Volta is guided by a Western Mediterranean approach to cooking, grounded in Barcelona’s produce and shaped by the Italian background of Executive Chef Andrea De Benedictis. The idea of voltar, to wander at an easy pace, informs the way the menu unfolds, seasonal, generous and designed for sharing. Andrea’s cooking blends Spanish and Italian traditions through restrained, time honoured techniques, letting each ingredient speak for itself.
Standout plates include Girona roast beef cooked slowly and finished with Mediterranean notes, red prawn tartare paired with salmorejo and ricotta, and a tempura parmigiana layered with aubergine cream, confit tomato mayo and pesto. Close relationships with small scale farmers, cheesemakers and vintners ensure the kitchen stays connected to the seasons and the people behind each ingredient.
Volta Bar
Volta Bar draws on Italy’s aperitivo ritual, a place to gather, sip and take your time. Set beneath a skylight, it shifts easily from bright daytime pours to softly lit evenings. The drinks list reworks Italian classics with a coastal lean, from Mediterranean twists on the Negroni and Martini to playful, ingredient led signatures, alongside a thoughtful selection of global spirits interpreted through a Mediterranean lens. The wine list focuses on small scale Italian producers and lesser known appellations, with bottles chosen for their character, provenance and sense of place.
