EAT & DRINK IN BARCELONA
At the heart of Borneta sits Volta, serving Mediterranean cooking rooted in Italian tradition, alongside a bar celebrating the rituals of aperitivo. Five floors up, 180° Rooftop Bar pairs a pool, cocktails and light bites with rather good views across El Born.

Volta Restaurant
A neighbourhood restaurant in El Born serving comforting Mediterranean cooking rooted in Italian tradition. The menu centres on seasonal ingredients, handmade pasta and generous sharing plates. Think fresh tomato salad with hazelnuts, ricotta and balsamic, tagliatelle alla Bolognese, and Iberian pork pluma with smoked aubergine, mint yoghurt and pomegranate.
Volta Bar
Volta Bar celebrates the rituals of the Italian aperitivo. By night, it’s a lively neighbourhood spot for aperitivo, cocktails and wine. By day, natural light pours through the skylight as we serve coffee to enjoy in or take away, alongside pastries from our neighbours at Funky Bakers. Our drinks list draws inspiration from Italy’s aperitivo culture, with signature cocktails reimagined through Mediterranean ingredients alongside a carefully curated selection of wines from independent Italian producers.

180º Rooftop Bar
Five floors above Volta, our intimate rooftop bar and pool come with rather good views across Parc de la Ciutadella and the Barcelona skyline. Take a dip, claim a lounger or find a shaded seat for spritzes, cocktails and light bites. Hotel guests can head up without a reservation, with towels, fresh fruit, water and sun cream provided. Locals and visitors are welcome from late afternoon. Look out for Pilar Zeta’s bespoke egg sculpture at golden hour. The rooftop is also available for private celebrations and drinks receptions.
